Dr. Thomas Hartman is Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Stockholm University School of Business and the Head of the School since 2006.

He graduated with a Ph.D. at University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1985. Dr Hartman has held academic positions at University of Gothenburg, Sweden (lecturer), Warwick Business School, UK (visiting fellow), Keele University, UK (lecturer) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway (professor).

Dr. Hartman is a member of the board of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Stockholm University, the Nordic Academy of Management and advisory board of Leeds University Business School.

Dr. Hartman’s research and teaching interests are within the areas of performance management and financial institutions management.
